Plot your escape with these (amazing) Travel Blogs

Indulge in a little armchair travel - and plot your next escape - with these amazing travel blogs. We love them for their great photography, which of course we can't help but imagine on a set of coasters…

Classe Touriste is the blog of journalist Debbie Pappyn and photographer David De Vleeschauwer. Debbie also recently launched the One Day One Photo blog, which sees her post one photo every day she travels. Both Debbie and David are excellent photographers and boy do they get to some great places!

Lost in Cheeseland is the blog of Philadelphia to Paris transplant Lindsey Tramuta. As well as being one of the best-named blogs ever, Cheeseland is a fun collection of stories and images from Lindsey's travels and life in France.

Making a strong case for the joys of slow travel and living simply, the Harteau family document their life on the road at Ouropenroad.com. With their daughter Colette, Emily and Adam left California a year and a half ago in their VW Westfalia (pictured above) and haven't looked back.

Now you've teased your itchy feet, why not scratch them a little by turning some of your favorite travel Instagrams into tangible mementos: coasters. Go on, start a set!

Family Photos are the Focus of this Great Set

Family photos are the focus of this Coastermatic collection. Jason made a set each for his mom and grandmom for Mother's Day and they were a big hit.

CM: Any stories to recount related to the images you used?

JR: I recently moved from Toronto, Canada to be with my wife who lives in Hawaii. We met last August in San Francisco and got married two months later. She has children, I have a dog. I wanted to remind my mother and grandmother that all is good and we are very happy. These photos were taken this past Easter.

CM: How did they respond to the coasters?

JR: They both thought the coasters were unique and a conversation starter. I could have chosen artwork or a different theme, but since they are photos of us that is where the conversation will most likely start. What are these? How did you get there photo on the coaster? That sort of thing.

We love that Coastermatic is being used to create personalised gifts! Why not create a set for someone you love?

Shane Gilman has fun with coasters

Shane Gilman is a San Francisco-based commercial photographer, who loves using his Instagram photos to create unique gifts. These Coastermatic coasters featuring his girlfriend Deviné show just how fun coasters can be!

CM: How did you find Coastermatic?

SG: I found Coastermatic using Google. I was looking for Instagram gift ideas and these coasters are perfect! I just sent two sets to friends who recently celebrated a big birthday in San Francisco. They absolutely LOVED them!

CM: Who's the fun-looking person in the photo?

SG: She is my brilliant girlfriend, Deviné. We were shooting some headshots and this goofy shot is my favorite! We have many incarnations of this in our apartment. My favorite is this coaster, which sits on my desk.

Got some goofy pics you'd like to see on a coaster? Make a set!
